Service Writer

Duties Include:

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly and warm approachable manner
• Contact customer regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time
• Help keep office clean and organized.
• Answer phones
• Assist Center Manager with day to day tasks as needed
• Promptness and good attendance.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Description:

• Schedule service appointments by phone and walk in.
• Obtain customer and vehicle data.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly and warm approachable manner.
• Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Order parts according to availability and price.
• Check on progress of repairs throughout the day.
• Contact customer regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time.
• Explains cost and time requirements in detail.
• Gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufactures specifications.
• Address customer concerns, more info for the tech's the better.
• Help keep office clean and organized.
• Promptness and good attendance.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Experience in sales and service.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Speed and accuracy of service a must.
