Milford Regional Medical Center has one of the busiest emergency departments (ED) in central Massachusetts seeing approximately 55 thousand patients annually. In 2015 a new building was erected that allowed us to increase its size from 30 to 50 beds. The new design provides a safer environment for patients, includes family space to allow them to stay with their loved one and an improved working environment for staff. Statement of Purpose :
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and / or Emergency Physician, the Paramedic Technician supports staff in the care of patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department. The Paramedic Technician is primarily responsible for performing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as delegated by the nurse. Upon the order of the Emergency Physician, the Paramedic Technician may perform advanced life support skills permitted within the Paramedic level of certification such as intubation, defibrillation and administration of ACLS resuscitative medications.
Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma
Certification / License : Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic license, current CPR skills and ACLS certification.
Experience : Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Paramedic.
MRMC Differentials :
Hospital differentials are : $3.50 hourly for evenings, $5.00 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
Salary : $3 - $5
