Works in collaboration with patients, clinicians, insurance companies, and healthcare administration to ensure patients are financially cleared to have medical and surgical services. The Patient Financial Counselor has a direct impact on patients’ well-being by providing guidance and facilitating access to vital financial programs and services. They help to analyze a patient’s financial status and provide support on how the patient can cover their healthcare costs.Qualifications : Education : High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferredCertification / License : Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification requiredExperience : Prior experience in financial counseling preferred, Meditech experience a plus
