What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doorperson/Porter (temporary) position at Milford Management?
Luxury residential property management company is looking to fill Doorperson/Porter positions on a temporary basis, located in Manhattan. The ideal candidate is someone who has prior residential building experience, has a professional demeanor, and can provide exceptional hospitality service to residents and guests. Prior experience utilizing BuildingLink is a plus. Availability to work varying shifts is desired.
Job specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Interaction with residents and guests and provide superior customer service.
- Provides general information regarding the area and directions.
- Professionally answer calls, take messages
- Develops and maintains service relationships to fulfill the needs of residents and guests.
- Receives all mail and packages and ensures proper distribution
- Liaise with building management and maintenance staff to respond to emergencies
- Stays alert and undistracted to provide full attention to entrances, exits, and security systems
- Maintains orderliness of the front desk
- Monitors scheduled move-in/move-out processes
- Under direction of the resident manager, perform general apartment and overall building maintenance including but not limited to mopping, pressure washing, snow removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
- Remove trash/recyclables and prepare units for occupancy
- Sweep floors and vacuum
Basic Responsibilities:

- Communicate written and oral communication at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Perform quality and quantity duties as expected for position.
- Complete company required training courses as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to read and observe surroundings.
- Able to physically perform duties at the speed, mobility and force necessary.
- Execute tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
- Possess ability to adapt to changing environment.
