About the Position

The Milford School District is seeking a Payroll/Benefits Coordinator to join our dedicated SAU Business Office team. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and benefit administration while contributing to an environment that values teamwork, innovation, and service excellence.
What You’ll Do
Payroll Processing: Manage and execute payroll operations using Softwaresystems, ensuring all employee payments are accurate and on time.
Data Entry and Management: Ensuring that all data is accurately and promptly entered into the database, following organizational guidelines and standards.
Benefits Administration: Manage benefit deductions and enrollment changes, ensuring compliance with district policies and regulations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Administrator, Director of Finance, Human Resources and other departments to resolve payroll and benefits issues effectively.
Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, ensuringemployee satisfaction and smooth operational workflows.
Compliance and Reporting: Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and districtregulations, preparing necessary reports and maintaining accurate records.
What You Bring to the Team
Skills & Expertise:
Strong understanding of payroll systems and benefits administration including the NH State Retirement System.
Knowledge of Federal and State tax reporting requirements
Proficiency in office technology, including spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets preferred).
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a team-first approach
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree preferred (but not required).
Previous experience in payroll processing.
Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
