Sealcoat Laborer
Job Summary
The Sealcoat Laborer will be responsible for applying sealant to asphalt surfaces, ensuring durability and longevity. This role requires a strong understanding of various equipment operations and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Operate and maintain sealcoating equipment.
- Perform utility locating to ensure safe operation around existing underground utilities.
- Prepare surfaces for sealcoating by cleaning and repairing any damage prior to application.
- Apply sealant uniformly to asphalt surfaces using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on the job site.
Experience
- Previous experience in sealcoating or related fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating sealcoating equipment.
- Familiarity with utility locating practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
