South Bend Substitute Teaching Opportunity – Choose Your Schedule!

About the Role

We are looking for substitute teachers to help our schools in South Bend Indiana who would be available to sub 3-4 days per week. This is a contract role, where you have the opportunity to choose what type of grade level you want to substitute for, as well as your schedule! At a minimum, 3-4 days is required.

About Mili Llama

Mili Llama aims to address the shortage of substitute teachers by providing an avenue for community members who wish to contribute to their local schools through substitute teaching. Ultimately, substitute teaching has become a part of the gig economy, allowing you to pick up shifts on the same day or schedule them weeks in advance. Our goal is to make the entire process as convenient as possible by providing you with your schedule and available shifts right at your fingertips through our custom-built application.

Job Type:

• Contract

Pay: 

We pay weekly!

For those with a high school degree:

• $105 for a full day (4.5 hours or more)
• 52.50 for a half day (4 hours or less)

For those with a college degree

• $120 for a full day (4.5 hours or more) 52.50
• $60 for a half day (4 hours or less)

For those that commit to a long term substitute engagement: 5 consecutive days or more

• $120 for a full day (4.5 hours or more)
• $60 for a half day (4 hours or less)

In this Job, You Will:

• Review and follow lesson plans
• Mentor and engage students
• Give clear instructions and helps students understand the lesson
• Maintain discipline and control of the classroom
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere
• Observe and follow school policies and policies of Mili Llama

What is required to become a substitute teacher?

• High School Diploma
• A valid teaching certificate or substitute permit (We can help you get this)
• Background check clearance
