Job Description

Military & Commercial Fasteners , a privately held industrial distribution and manufacturing business supporting both military and commercial OEMs is seeking an OEM Business Development Manager . Military & Commercial Fasteners works with the defense, aerospace, heating / cooling, rail, commercial and transportation markets.

The OEM Business Development Manager is a HUNTER role and will be responsible for establishing relationships and generating new business. This role is face-to-face sales, not a desk job ,does not have any direct reports and is home based.

The OEM Business Development Manager will sell

Vendor managed inventory of fasteners and hardware
Third-party logistics
High precision machinery
Kitting and packaging

The ideal candidate must have OEM business development experience, experience building relationships with commodity managers, a high comfort level with face-to-face conversations and demonstrated expertise in customer engagement.

Must have your own car to travel in the territory-Atlanta Metro area

OEM Business Development Manager Responsibilities :

Identify new opportunities for growth in the Atlanta Metro area

Regularly travel within sales territory to conduct face-to face meetings with prospects

Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements and educate customers on product knowledge

Build and maintain relationships with prospects and key decision makers

Provide quotes and negotiate prices as well as terms and conditions

Maintain records of all sales leads and / or customer accounts

Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions

OEM Business Development Manager Qualifications :

3-5 yrs. Industrial OEM business development experience and proven experience building relationships with commodity managers.

Strong interpersonal skills

Self-starter

Proactive problem solver

Detail oriented

Willing to work independently

ERP experience preferred

Drivers license

Excel and Outlook knowledge

Fastener or similar sales experience preferred
