Position Details
Department Information
As an employee of the CA Military Department (CMD), you are required to perform the “essential functions” of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. You are expected to work cooperatively with all internal/external staff, to provide the highest level of customer service possible while meeting the CMD mission. All employees are required to treat others fairly, honestly, and with respect.
The CMD has free parking; a free gym on-site for employees; and conveniently located within a few miles of major shopping centers, including many restaurants.
Persons employed at the California Military Department must be a United States Citizen (or naturalized citizen) and able to pass a background investigation and LiveScan fingerprinting.
- This position may/may not be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the CMD and based on the current telework policy. While the CMD supports telework where possible, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.

Special Requirements
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. If it is determined a candidate does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position.
