Regional Community Manager- Sandhills
OVERVIEW
The Regional Community Manager-Sandhills position provides essential day-to-day operations across the greater Sandhills community. Militar Missions In Action is seeking an individual with an intense passion for veterans and the military to build community while identifying opportunities for resource collaboration in an effort to provide the upmost care and services to our Veterans in need, members of all Armed Forces, and their loving, supporting families. The position is a hybrid role based in our West End, NC office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with those we serve, our volunteers, and our community partners
- Identify and collaborate with organizations, and businesses that would assist MMIA in accomplishing our mission
- Identifies, schedules, and is present at community events that will help raise awareness of MMIA’s mission and that will attract potential supporters
- Coordinate and plan fundraisers to support funding for the Moore County office
- Plans, coordinates, completes, and follows up with each project/program and those we serve
- Reviews and approves applications for assistance
- Maintains files, scans, and organize documents
- Maintains referral resources for those that do not fall under our programs of service
- Willingness to compose and complete grants for funding
- Prepare tax letters and mail them accordingly while filing appropriately
- Prepare thank you letters/notes to donors, supporters, and partners
- Save, code, and scan all receipts to appropriate folders.
- Maintains reports of those we served in order to measure the impact of our program
- Follows yearly budget and if there is a need for more funding, obtains the approval from the Executive Director and the Board of Directors
- Respond to communications in a timely manner
- Obtain photos and post to social media platforms
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
- Passion for veterans and the military community
- Professional experience: 1-2 years in a related field
- Education: High school diploma
- Highly organized
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented and work with a high degree of autonomy
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to complete projects with limited supervision
- Team player with the ability to work with a diverse community of groups and individuals
- Maintains confidentiality to those we serve and their families
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
SALARY
- Compensation will be based on education and experience
- Position is a part-time role expected to perform approximately 20 hours of work a week between an office and within the Sandhills community
