What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operator position at Military Technical Recruiting (MTR.vet)?
We are looking to add a CNC Laser Operator to our machining team. This person will
work with our 2 laser machines, a Bystronic fiber laser and a Trumpf CO2 laser. This person will work closely with our manufacturing team daily to create and troubleshoot programs for manufacturing of various parts and components. The Operator will continuously set up and manage the production schedule of the laser to optimize operations to meet production demands.
Responsibilities:
∙Operate lasers in a safe and efficient manner.
∙Program lasers for efficient operations on parts to minimize scrap.
∙Communicate closely with engineering team to develop best practices for
manufacturability of parts.
∙Assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years of CNC Laser operation experience.
- Experience machining stainless steel is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
- Ability to work as part of a team
