Job Description: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment, systems, and structures across the ranch. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, mechanical systems, and the ability to work independently to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance checks on ranch facilities, equipment, and machinery to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as winterizing equipment or ensuring summer irrigation systems are functioning properly.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the workshop, storage areas, and any areas involved in maintenance work.
- Work with other team members to coordinate repairs and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Ensure all work complies with local safety codes and regulations.
- Assist in general groundskeeping tasks as needed, including fence repairs, landscaping, and building upkeep.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a farm, agricultural, or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to safely operate power tools and other equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the ranch.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field is a plus.
- Small appliance experience is a must
