JOB DESCRIPTION
The Content & Social Media Manager is responsible for owning Milk Bars content machine, building best in class content and community building strategies for Milk Bars brand channels. In this role, you will drive Milk Bars owned digital content and community strategy, ensuring channel connectivity throughout brand campaigns, messaging, product launches, and more.
You enthusiastically create thumb-stopping content and engage Milk Bars community both on and offline, overseeing and executing interactive content ideation, planning, production, and daily publishing. You are creative and trend-savvy with a deep understanding of how to thoughtfully connect a brands ethos to its customers through social content and communication, in service of brand and business goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Own Milk Bars content and community strategy, driving strategy, monthly planning, concepting, creative execution and publishing for Milk Bars social and content ecosystem in support of brand and business objectives

Lead all social media content production, finely balancing both scrappy, self-produced content and Creative-team produced content, with the goal of creating compelling and engaging content to activate Milk Bars community. Brief Creative team on an as-needed basis on specific content needs.

Lead strategic influencer relations, including relationship nurturing, product comping and providing channel teams strategic recommendations of influencers to leverage (budget depending)

Serve as an extension of the culinary and R&D teams, visiting Milk Bar bakeries and R&D Kitchen (located in Williamsburg) multiple times per week to capture in-the-moment happenings; drive Milk Bars culinary RTBs in over 50% of content. Partner with Creative team on development of large brand shoot ideas, copy, and visuals tied to launches and marquee brand moments to ensure a strong and unified brand message and experience across all channels

Respond to daily mentions across platforms; partner with internal Communications and Customer Experience team to maintain brand representation across all social media platforms. Provide a best in class customer experience by providing clear and easy resolutions in a timely and positive manner.

Leverage social media software and additional industry resources to glean insights to optimize content strategy, drive best-in-class engagement, and understand digital trends.

Function as internal digital trend lead for Brand team, proactively identifying opportunities for real-time content and engagement in the digital space, and sharing digital & cultural trends on ongoing basis with team

Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embody our core values, inspire celebration and create real magic. Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree with focus on business, marketing, communications preferred

2 years professional experience in a creative or marketing-focused role

Working knowledge of and proficiency in iPhone photography, video editing, and Adobe design programs

Background in the food and beverage or hospitality industry is a plus!

Experience working in a fast paced, high-growth startup environment; must be comfortable navigating multiple priorities and building plans from scratch.
