About the Role
The Director of Sales will lead and execute strategies across wholesale, e-commerce, and retail channels to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and enhance customer experience. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in multi-channel sales management, team leadership, and strategic planning within the children’s or lifestyle product industries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Analysis :
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans, including pricing strategies and promotional activities, to achieve revenue targets and drive growth
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and provide actionable insights to enhance profitability and performance
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to develop accurate sales forecasts and identify new business opportunities
Wholesale Sales Management
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow wholesale partnerships with national and regional retailersBuild and strengthen relationships with key wholesale accounts to understand their needs, ensure satisfaction, and foster long-term partnerships while aligning with Milkbarn Kids' brand values and goalsAnalyze sales data to identify trends, optimize product mix, and set achievable sales targetsOversee the development of sales materials, presentations, and seasonal product line launches for wholesale clientsRepresent the company at key market trade shows, leveraging opportunities to expand brand presence and build relationships with potential clientsE-commerce Strategy and Execution
Drive revenue growth on Milkbarn Kids' direct-to-consumer e-commerce platformCollaborate with marketing to create and implement online promotional strategies, campaigns, and customer retention initiativesOptimize the online store experience through data analysis, including site performance, user behavior, and conversion metricsStay ahead of e-commerce trends to ensure Milkbarn Kids remains competitive and innovativeRetail Operations
Oversee Milkbarn Kids' retail store operations, ensuring a premium and cohesive brand experienceDevelop strategies to increase foot traffic, enhance in-store customer engagement, and optimize sales performanceImplement staff training programs focused on product knowledge and superior customer serviceTeam Leadership and Development

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, MBA preferred8 years of experience sales leadership, including wholesale, e-commerce, and retail channelsProven track record of driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets and expanding market reachStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends, develop actionable insight, and make informed decisionsExceptional sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and build lasting partnershipsStrong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and guide high performing sales teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, team members, and cross-functional partnersProficiency in NetSuite, B2B e-commerce platform, and sales automation toolsIn-depth knowledge of sales methodologies and best practices to drive resultsComprehensive understanding of market dynamics and industry trendsFlexibility to travel as needed to meet business objective and attend key trade showsExperience national retail accountsExperience within children’s products, lifestyle, or apparel industry is a plusBenefits
