JOB TITLE: Nursery/Logistics Support Staff
Full-time, hourly with paid overtime with benefits.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As part of our nursery/ logistics team, you are responsible for helping create efficiency. This includes but is not limited to preloading nursery stock early in the morning so it's ready to go when crews arrive, preloading various materials, or pre-staging material on site. Delivery of various materials and equipment throughout the day so the pace of production does not slow.
- The position reports to Yard/Logistics Manager.
- Responsible for upkeep of onsite nursery and landscape material storage areas as well as overall yard condition. This includes basic nursery irrigation repair and fixing drip lines.
- Understand and follow the company's safety and operational policies.
- Loading and unloading of various materials, equipment, and other physical tasks of the job.
- Drive deliveries to various job sites, coordinate pick up of materials from suppliers, and load crew trucks with equipment and materials.
- Ability to change and respond to varying schedules of delivery demands with solution-based ideas in times of over-demand.
- Operate and deliver various pieces of equipment to the job site and service location. This includes excavators, tractors, skid loaders, trenchers, and various implements used by crews.
- Participation in winter snow clearance operations, plow trucks, sanders, wheel loaders, or hand work.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment with changing conditions
- The ability to think on their feet and work through challenges as they arise
- Can consistently make it to work
- Aptitude and desire to learn all aspects, terminology, and technology of the industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and a can-do approach.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn multiple types of landscaping equipment operation.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally
- The ability to drive a truck with a trailer
- A valid Colorado or state-issued driver’s license with a clean MVR acceptable to the company insurance carrier to operate company vehicles.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Bi-lingual is a plus but not required
- Common sense and situational awareness.
- We are willing to train you if you are willing to learn
- Class A CDL
COMPENSATION:
- Pay: $23.16-25.50
- Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days
