Description
- A fireplace installer will be responsible for the successful installation and servicing of fireplaces in new and existing homes.
- Install gas and wood burning hearth appliances (this may be retrofitting an existing fireplace or adding a fireplace to an existing or new home)
- Read drawings and manufacturer instructions regarding the proper installation
- Build structures using wood and steel studs specifications
- Use multiple power and hand tools proficiently
- Install metal fireplace vent materials to manufacturers specifications
- Understand and work with the building materials and construction of a home
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site
- Work with gas lines and understand electrical at a basic level
- Safely move and install fireplaces over 100 lbs.
- Attend regular company paid training.
Qualifications
- NFI Certification preferred
- Prior experience with HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical will be a big plus.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience using hand tools (Drills, Saws, Metal shears, etc)
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Basic math skills required: add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately
- Willingness to work on roofs occasionally.
- Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
