Driver Management:
- Process and onboard new driver hires, ensuring compliance with FMCSA “Driver Qualifications.”
- Maintain and audit driver files.
- Develop a structured qualification and approval process for all company drivers, including light vehicle use.
- Conduct fleet-related training on cargo securement, asset inspections, Moffett and Boom operations.
- Set up driver credentials in fleet management and compliance software.
Fleet Compliance:
- Supervise and manage fleet maintenance programs.
- Conduct random truck, job site, and driver inspections.
- Oversee Hours of Service compliance.
- Audit and address FMCSA standards to improve compliance scores.
- Manage IFTA and IRP requirements.
- Assist in administering the random drug screening program.
- Oversee telematics program, including installation, startup, and monitoring.
- Review and audit harsh events and Driver Safety Reports triggered by telematics.
- Run FMCSA Clearinghouse operations, including driver consent and return-to-duty administration.
Fleet Maintenance:
- Oversee invoice processing for fleet maintenance expenses, including follow-ups and credit memo requests.
- Develop and maintain fleet maintenance schedules and programs.
- Audit inspection history and address fleet issues.
- Handle vehicle tag renewals and PM scheduling.
- Troubleshoot issues with fleet management and tracking software.
- Administer toll pass and fuel card programs.
Fleet Acquisition, Transfer & Disposal:
- Manage setup of new fixed assets and disposal of old assets.
- Coordinate vehicle upfitting and special decaling.
- Oversee title, tax, and insurance processes for new and transferred vehicles.
Injuries & Accident Claims:
- Assist with post-accident investigations and vehicular claims.
- File and manage workers’ compensation and auto claims.
- Ensure proper documentation and authorization for drug screenings and accident/injury reports.
- Assist in creating weekly, monthly, and annual workers’ compensation reports and compliance.
Safety & Compliance Support:
- Serve as backup for safety duties and support HR, Safety, and Fleet initiatives.
- Manage termination processes, including credential and fuel access removal.
- Set up new hire and transfer training through company learning management systems.
- Administer training certifications for OSHA 10, CPR, and driver safety courses.
- Participate in safety committees and support safety initiatives across all locations.
- Administer the employee footwear program and ensure compliance.
- Conduct audits on fleet sheets, fuel cards, insurance, and driver compliance.
- Assist with special projects and quarterly Safety and Fleet Reports.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in fleet management, compliance, or transportation logistics preferred.
- Class A or B CDL is preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT regulations, and fleet safety standards.
- Proficiency in fleet management and compliance software.
- Strong organizational and auditing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on safety and compliance
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
