Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately assemble loads of trusses for delivery, following established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret work orders to understand specific customer requirements for each load.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of required truss components for assembly.
- Utilize forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move trusses and materials, adhering to safety procedures.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled loads to ensure they meet Mill Creek Truss' standards before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the load building process.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues, changes, or special requirements related to load building.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to create a secure working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a load builder or in a similar role within the construction or building materials industry.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Proficient in the operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment; valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in load assembly to meet customer specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual labor, including lifting heavy truss components.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a secure workplace.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
