What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Mill Falls Charter School: bringing Montessori public?
Mill Falls Charter School is seeking a part-time Special Education Teacher to work in our public Montessori classroom environment with educationally and behaviorally challenged students. The Special Education teacher will create a program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for our students with disabilities, enabling those students to benefit from our general education Montessori curriculum to the greatest extent possible. Our Special Education Team is comprised of other Special Educators and our Student Support Coordinator, as well as our Educational Program Director, who also holds a masters in Special Education.
Responsibilities of our Special Educators include instruction to assigned students by implementing IEPs; preparation of academic materials for students following approved curricula; special education case management including collaboration in preparation of IEPs, reports, assessments, and participating team meetings. Our Special Education Team works collaboratively with our classroom teachers in support of our students’ academic, personal and social achievement, safety and physical well-being.
