Mill Pond Kennels is searching for a Receptionist / Operation Manager to join its team. The perfect candidate is someone with reception and dog handling experience in a veterinary office or kennel/dog daycare environment.
1. Skills and Abilities:
Customer Service:
Emphasize your ability to greet clients, answer questions, and address concerns with patience and professionalism.
Scheduling:
Highlight experience in scheduling appointments, managing workflow, and ensuring timely check-ins/check-outs.
Record Keeping:
Mention your ability to maintain accurate patient records, update information, and manage health records.

Showcase your ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other professionals.
Multitasking:
Emphasize your ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting clients.

Animal Handling:

2. Job Responsibilities (Examples and not limited to):
- Greet and check in/check out clients and their pets .
- Answer phones, screen calls, and route them appropriately.
- Schedule and manage appointments.

- Assist with client inquiries and address their concerns.
- Process payments and manage client accounts.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and well as common areas.
- Assist in kennel helper duties when needed.
- Assist with other administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry .
- Communicate with other staff to ensure smooth operations .
- Provide information about pet care and training services and products to clients .
- Manage inventory supplies and communicate with vendors for restocking .
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
