MRP is searching for passionate and agile Stitcher Machine Assistant who is a problem-solver and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Stitcher Machine Assistant in the Bindery Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Stitcher Operator.

What will you do in this role?
-
Maintain cleanliness of work area including emptying waste bins.
-
Read job ticket to ensure job specifications are followed. Ask questions to the machine Operator that you assist when needed. We like questions.

Store and assemble shipping containers.
-
Gather and pack product, per job specifications.
-
Feed the stitcher machine according to the Operator’s instructions.

Make labels for packing cartons, as needed.

Be willing to learn how to operate the stitcher machine(s).

Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills.

Able to read and understand job instructions, including custom job requirements.

Excellent endurance to stand and move about the work area all day.

Must fulfill the following training & testing requirements:

Motorized Hand Truck Operation

GED or High School Equivalent
The physical requirements and work environment:
Work exclusively in the production area, with light and heavy equipment where you stand and walk during your entire shift while lifting/handling paper product. Bending and reaching as needed. Exposed to elevated noise levels throughout work shift, hearing protection use is mandatory while in production area.
