What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at MillBrook Outdoor Resort?
HOUSE KEEPING - GENERAL DUTIES
Responsible for overall cleanliness of resort buildings and facilities (i.e. bathhouses, laundry rooms, game rooms, lodge, pool areas, cabins and rentals) with the goal of providing great guest services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Implement the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs of specific buildings and facilities as outlined by immediate supervisor or manager.
- Provide excellent and friendly guest services by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guest needs. Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome attitude.
- Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smiles and proper attire.
- Submit a list of supplies (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies and equipment, etc.) that need to be replenished on an as needed basis to your immediate supervisor or manager.
- Report all broken or damaged items within all buildings, facilities and premises to your Supervisor.
- Report all guest problems, requests or complaints to your supervisor and follow up to resolve the issue if possible.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the resort manager, or supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Make and meet goals set by yourself and your supervisor.

- Timely reporting of all guest concerns and requests, as well as, follow-ups and corrective actions on the areas under the team member's capabilities.

- Demonstration of a positive attitude with guests, management and team members.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed and 25 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling and walking.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Be able to operate a golf cart and or motor vehcle.
- Work carefully under wet and slippery conditions.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures including chemical properties, handling and usage.
- Speak English language fluently.
