About the Role:
As Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for leading, coaching, and elevating our store managers to execute at the highest level. You’ll ensure that every Millburn Deli location runs efficiently, maintains impeccable standards, and continues to grow and evolve. This role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to balance big-picture strategy with on-the-ground execution, and is passionate about developing leaders.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all locations – Drive operational excellence, maintain consistency, and ensure each store meets quality, speed, and service expectations.
- Lead & develop store managers – Provide hands-on coaching, training, and accountability to ensure managers operate at peak performance.
- Implement & refine operational systems – Identify and improve processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain brand & quality standards – Uphold the premium experience customers expect from the Millburn Deli.
- Execute training programs – Cultivate the next generation of store leaders through structured training and mentorship.
- Drive financial performance – Work closely with managers to hit revenue, cost, and labor targets while maintaining service excellence.
- Ensure compliance & safety – Maintain high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and compliance across all locations.
- Support expansion & new store openings – Be a key player in the rollout of future locations, ensuring a smooth and successful launch.
Who You Are:
- Experienced Leader – 5 years of multi-unit operations experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Results-Driven – Proven ability to drive revenue, control costs, and improve operations.
- Strong People Manager – Skilled in coaching and developing managers to be exceptional leaders.
- Customer-Obsessed – Passionate about delivering an amazing guest experience.
