Moderate Special Needs Teacher- Long Term Substitute Teacher

DESCRIPTION: Millbury Memorial Junior-Senior High School is seeking a dynamic, licensed special education teacher with a strong background in math and science to join our team as a long-term substitute. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in modifying and scaffolding instruction to support diverse learners in both co-taught and small-group settings, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This role requires collaboration with general education teachers to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies that promote academic success for all students. GENERAL DUTIES: Provide direct instruction to students Function as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide ore Academic Support instruction to special education students in grades 7-12 Analyze individual student data and use that information to develop measurable goals and objectives and corresponding lessons Apply appropriate knowledge to curriculum content/instruction, plan lessons and align assessment of student learning, monitors students' understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments, using data-driven techniques, as appropriate Participate in related school meetings which are held for the purpose of improving both curricula and extra-curricula activities Collaborate with the Special Education Department Head/Team Chair to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) addressing students’ needs and function as a liaison/ case manager for designated students.
