What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager-Hotel Sales position at Millcraft Investments, Inc?
Piatt Hotel Group is looking for an Account Manager to be part of their centralized sales team. This position will focus on Piatt Hotel Group's portfolio of hotels and will be responsible for driving sales and revenue through the acquisition and retention of new and existing clients. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to meet their needs. As part of the centralized team, there will be crossover between corporate and the social market. This is an onsite position and will be located at Piatt Hotel Group's headquarters in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients for the hotel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.
- Develop strategies to expand the client base.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the company.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts, and pricing structures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and events, to create promotions and packages for clients.
- Partner with sales team on solicitation efforts through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales within the hotel.
- Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies. Make reasonable recommendations to improve potential from various markets. Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, to previous, current and prospective clients.
- Assist in preparation, implementation and compilation of data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, and other reports as directed/required.
- Conduct on property tours and meetings with prospective and existing clients.
- Attend functions to greet clients, ensure smooth operations and address any on-site needs.
- Professionally represent the hotel in the community and industry organizations and events.
- Participate in daily meeting, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
- Knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
