QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma required.
2. Advanced secretarial and computer skills, including a working knowledge of various applications.
3. Knowledge of operating computers, and specific software programs relative to school operation.
4. Previous secretarial experience, preferred.
5. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-task environment.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with students, parents and personnel from various schools and agencies.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Maintain good rapport with co-workers and community.
9. Maintain confidentiality of District and school business.
10.Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent or designee
JOB GOAL: To establish and maintain a high standard of professionalism in the operation of projects, initiatives, and daily functions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle confidential information concerning employees.
- Prepare correspondence and reports.
- Handle telephone and counter duties as needed.
- Take and transcribe minutes as needed.
- Cross-train and cover for other employees as needed.
- Maintain records for department.
- Input work orders as directed by administration using the appropriate computer program.
- Provide secretarial support for all matters.
- Maintain schedules and paperwork.
- Any other duties assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit and talk and hear.
- Ability to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and move quickly when necessary to promote student learning and/or safety.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Over 25 pounds requires assistance. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SENSORY ABILITY:
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
- Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone.
