Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate to assist in negotiating various issues with vendors, which will include the audit of invoices and a careful review of amounts claimed to be owed. This role involves reviewing vendor accounts, communicating with creditors, and working with internal teams to resolve financial obligations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an understanding of contract terms and attention to detail.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Vendor Negotiation: Engage with vendors to negotiate various contract terms, including, but not limited to amounts claimed to be outstanding and the resolution of disputes with vendors.
- Contract & Account Review: Analyze vendor agreements and statements to assess financial obligations and identify negotiation opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including legal, operations and finance, to align negotiation strategies with company objectives. Work with these internal teams to properly document disputes with vendors.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of negotiations, settlement terms, and vendor communications.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct legal and financial research related to vendor claims, lien releases, and contract obligations.

Required Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law or business school preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze contracts and financial documents.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- Experience or coursework in real estate law, contracts, or dispute resolution is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills are critical, including verbal and written.
- Must possess superior customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a typical office/commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.

- Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel
- Part time role expected 20 hours a week in office. May vary based on current workload.
- Must be able to work various shifts when needed to cover during regular business hours, including weekends and evenings.
