Survey Crew Chief

Millennia Professional Services, a full-service civil engineering, land surveying and geotechnical firm with offices in Morton, Fairview Heights, and Downers Grove, IL and St. Louis, MO, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Survey Crew Chief at our Morton, IL location. For consideration to fill this position, ideal candidates should have experience performing the following:

All aspects of boundary and topographic surveying including:

· Courthouse research for documents

· Boundary calculations

· Field reconnaissance for existing monumentation

· Setting horizontal and vertical control

· ALTA Land Title Surveys

· As-built Surveys

· Construction Layout including:

· Reading and understanding construction plans

· Complete layout calculations for large commercial sites, residential subdivisions, highway projects and bridge projects.

· Complete proper field notes and sketches

· Ensure proper maintenance of the survey vehicle and equipment

Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required

· Be able to operate robotic instruments and GPS equipment, knowledge of Trimble equipment preferred

· Should be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software

· Have a valid driver’s license

·Required at least 4 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief. (P.L.S. preferred)

· Must be physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in the same day

· Strong commitment to detail and quality.

· Be willing to work overtime and work out of town occasionally.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
