Remote- Call Center Patient Concierge Specialist

The Company: Millennia is a technology-enabled service company that partners with healthcare providers to manage and improve their patient financial experience using a powerful patient engagement platform and a healthcare-focused patient support team.

The Position: As a Patient Concierge Specialist, you will utilize a virtual phone system to receive inbound calls and make outbound courtesy calls to assist patients with their medical bills. You will be expected to remain at your workspace, equipped with headset, and taking calls throughout the entire duration of your shift (excluding scheduled breaks). *Equipment is provided. * Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service while maintaining respect for the patient’s privacy rights and personal health and financial information confidentiality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner. (Expect to handle ~80-100 calls per day)
• Follow scripted verbiage when handling different topics
• Identify patient needs, clarify information, and provide solutions
• Keep records of all conversations in our database in a comprehensible way. (Must be able to multitask by typing during each call)
• Ability to achieve daily call center metrics
• Manage dual monitors, a virtual phone system, and multiple software applications
• Handle each call in a positive/considerate/respectful manner- Yes, we are remote, but a smile can be heard over the phone!

Position Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer and/or patient support role
• High School diploma or GED
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills as well as active listening
• Minimum of 35wpm typing speed
• Understand and pronounce basic medical terms

Remote Requirements:

• Quiet workspace free from any distractions, preferably a room with a door that can be closed
• Ability to plug your work equipment directly into your internet router using a provided ethernet cord
• High speed internet
• DSL, Cable, or Fiber
• Dial-up, satellite, Wi-Fi, Cellular/Hot Spot connections are NOT acceptable
• Minimum required download speed of 40 Mbps
• Minimum required upload speed of 8 Mbps

Pay Structure:

Competitive Pay: Pay starts at $13.00 per hour for the first 60 days, when it will then increase to $15.00 per hour, with $1.00 per hour raises every six months following, until pay reaches $17.00 per hour, in which you are then eligible for annual merit raises.

• Example: If you start in May 2023 at $13.00 per hour, your pay structure would be similar to this:
• July 2023- $15.00 per hour
• January 2024- $16.00 per hour
• July 2024- $17.00 per hour
• First Quarter 2025- Merit increase dependent on performance

Available Shifts:

• 10:30am-7:30pm EST (9:30am-6:30pm CST) with a 1-hour lunch
• 11:00am-8:00pm EST (10:00am-7:00pm CST) with a 1-hour lunch
• 11:30am-8:00pm EST (10:30am-7:00pm CST) with a 30-minute lunch
