Job Description :

As a Purchasing Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring a wide range of materials used in the electronic manufacturing process. Your role will involve developing and executing procurement strategies that reduce costs while ensuring that quality and delivery timelines are met. You will manage negotiations with suppliers, ensuring the best possible pricing, terms, and contract conditions. Additionally, you will oversee supplier performance and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

In this position, you will interpret technical drawings and work closely with various teams to ensure the purchased materials meet the specifications for production. You will also stay updated with market trends and supplier innovations to make informed and optimal sourcing decisions. As part of a high-functioning team, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing best practices, and maintaining efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute cost-saving procurement strategies while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize supplier relationships and secure competitive rates.
• Source and procure a wide variety of materials including electrical components (e.g., panels, switches, breakers), machined parts (e.g., sheet metal, CNC machined components), and industrial automation hardware.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery deadlines, and service level agreements.
• Review and interpret technical drawings to ensure materials meet engineering and production requirements.
• Lead the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process and manage supplier selection to ensure the most cost-effective and reliable suppliers are chosen.
• Identify areas for improvement in procurement processes and work with cross-functional teams to implement cost-reduction initiatives and best practices.
• Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and technological advancements to make informed sourcing decisions and keep the supply chain optimized.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address supply chain challenges and improve overall operational efficiency.
