The business has evolved from strictly aerospace engineering to a full scale vertically integrated manufacturer of general aviation seats and interiors.

As an established provider of interiors and seats, Millennium Concepts, Inc. is an FAA TSO/ETSO holder for cabin and crew seating systems and holds FAA and foreign supplemental type certificates (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) authorizations.

Responsibilities include: Assembles and prepares orders for shipment, receives and unpacks materials and supplies, and ensures that proper paperwork accompanies all incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepares kits for shop personnel by pulling appropriate parts, ensures inventory is accurate and traceable. Assists shop personnel by sanding and prepping items, installing approved hardware, disassembling and reassembling cabinetry, picking up and delivering parts, maintaining a clean shop, and performing other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assembles and prepares orders for shipment and ensures proper paperwork accompanies order.

2. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies and ensures proper paperwork accompanies order; prepares materials and supplies for inspection when needed.

3. Prepares kits for shop personnel by pulling appropriate parts from inventory in accordance with work orders and/or purchase orders.

4. Maintains accuracy and traceability of inventory.

5. May occasionally prepare products for finish work by sanding and prepping items.

6. May occasionally install approved hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls, using hand tools.

7. Disassembles and reassembles cabinetry as requested.

8. Picks up and delivers products and parts as needed.

9. Maintains cleanliness of shop area.

10. Follows OSHA regulations and requirements.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Trade school preferred.
  • Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, write and understand the English language. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers and the ability to listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed. Ability to read, analyze and interpret simple and complex instructions and work orders.

Mathematical Skills: Basic understanding of mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, fractions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability: Must be able to solve practical problems involving several concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders; stoop, bend, and kneel. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close-up vision.

Work Environment: The work characteristics described throughout this job description are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is generally moderate in the shop area. The exposure to danger in the shop area is low, if all safety precautions are observed and followed. The temperature in the shop area varies depending on the time of year.
