The business has evolved from strictly aerospace engineering to a full scale vertically integrated manufacturer of general aviation seats and interiors.
As an established provider of interiors and seats, Millennium Concepts is an FAA TSO/ETSO holder for cabin and crew seating systems and holds FAA and foreign supplemental type certificates (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) authorizations.
Job Summary: Prepares and applies finishes to aircraft furniture under minimal supervision with knowledge of procedures and specifications of completion aircraft requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Prepares aircraft furniture for finish work by sanding and prepping items in accordance with approved specifications.
2. Applies finish to aircraft furniture including stains, toners, sealers, topcoats, and paints while ensuring the correct methods are used for a durable, quality finish.
3. Disassembles and reassembles cabinetry in order to ensure that finishes are applied properly.
4. Mixes and matches stains and toners to obtain proper color.
5. Ensures the proper usage of chemicals used in the process of finishing and refinishing aircraft furniture.
6. Ensures final product meets released drawing specifications and company standards and is prepared for presentation to customer.
7. Performs preventative maintenance on machines and tools used in the shop.
8. Follows OSHA regulations and requirements and understands Material Safety Data Sheets.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); trade school and 5 years previous related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
5. Ability to safely use hand tools, including sanders, sprayers, and brushes.

7. Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, write and understand the English language. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers and the ability to listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex instructions and work orders.
Mathematical Skills: Basic understanding of mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, fractions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to solve practical problems involving several concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders; stoop, bend, and kneel. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close-up vision.
Work Environment: The work characteristics described throughout this job description are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is generally moderate in the shop area. The exposure to danger in the shop area is low, if all safety precautions are observed and followed. The temperature in the shop area varies depending on the time of year.
