Systematic Technology Project Manager (Fixed Income, Credit)

The person filling this role will be responsible for the project management of Systematic Portfolio Managers from a technology perspective.

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with Portfolio Managers (PM) and teams across the firm to facilitate the efficient onboarding and ongoing expansion of trading groups

• Consult with users to understand and document business requirements and workflows

• Engage with Business Management and development leads to facilitate prioritization of PM technology requests

• Tracking of PM technology requests, including maintaining a log of updates and clear target dates for completion

• Expectation management and clear communication with the PMs, Business Management and the development teams

• Reporting of PM onboarding progress and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the onboarding plan

• Single point of technology contact for multiple systematic Portfolio Managers across Infrastructure, Systematic Data, Market-Data and Execution

• Maintain traceability of functional specifications to requirements/objectives

• Project management of bespoke strategic platform build-outs that may benefit multiple PMs

Required Skills:

• Requires 7 years of related professional project management experience

• Requires 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably with Equities / Futures / FX but with some exposure to Credit / Rates

• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)

• Ability to understand the business workflow (across products/regions) and technology components (inc datasets, infrastructure, quantitative tools and execution platforms) at a deep enough level to identify and solve problems

• Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile as well as expertise with tools including JIRA, Tableau and Confluence

• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a tight time frame

• Experience of specifying and writing user specifications and business requirements for development teams

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
