Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our laundry room facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of laundry facilities
- Washing, drying & folding all linens, including (but not limited to) towels, sheets, curtains, duvets, covers, drapery, etc.
- Keeping all areas within the laundry department clean & tidy
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables
- Restock supplies as needed
- Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and towels
- Sort, organize, and distribute clean linens to designated areas
- Follow established safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hotel or industrial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members
