Responsibilities :
- Patient Assessment : Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and treatment needs.
- Treatment Planning : Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient goals, including speech sound production, language development, fluency, voice disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide direct therapy services, such as articulation therapy, language therapy, fluency therapy, voice therapy, and swallowing therapy, using evidence-based practices.
- Patient Education : Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Compliance : Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
