Lifeguard (Seasonal)

Millennium Pool Management is hiring Lifeguards for the 2023 summer season – Memorial through Labor Day in Woodbridge, VA

We offer:

• Full time and Part time positions
• Flexible schedule
• Competitive pay rate depending on pool, experience , position and availability. Up to $18/hr. for pool managers and area lifeguards

Job duties include:

• Ensure the safety of patrons in and around the swimming pool.
• Prevent hazardous situations, enforce pool rules, and act quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Prepare the pool daily for opening and closing.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitary conditions of the swimming pool.

Requirements:

• Minimum age – starting 15 yrs. Depending on the type of the pool.
• Must be a good swimmer.
• Valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED for Lifeguard
• Pool Operator Certifications is advantage

**** Discounted training is available for prospective employees.

** Red Cross Lifeguard Certification eligibility requirements:

• Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke.
• Surface dive 7-10 ft retrieve 10-pound object return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit water without a ladder.
• Tread water using only your feet for 2 minutes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

License/Certification:

• Lifeguard Certificate (Preferred)
