Are you a talented app developer looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? At Millennium Print Group (MPG), we're seeking an innovative individual to help us modernize our application ecosystem while ensuring seamless IT support for our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do:
App Development and Ownership:
- Lead Application Development: Drive the design, development, and ownership of scalable, maintainable applications that meet MPG's evolving needs.
- Collaborate for Success: Work alongside business process owners to gather insights, analyze workflows, and build high-impact applications that align with our organizational goals.
- Enhance the App Ecosystem: Review and streamline our current applications, identifying opportunities for consolidation and optimization.
- Platform Modernization: Transition from legacy platforms like FileMaker to modern, scalable solutions and establish development standards for future use.
- User-Friendly Design: Build intuitive kiosks and desktop interfaces that enhance user efficiency and streamline data entry.
- Seamless Integration: Ensure that custom applications integrate effectively with our data lake initiatives, providing a unified data source for analytics and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and update our app portfolio based on evolving needs and user feedback.
- ERP Collaboration: Work with ERP vendors and internal stakeholders to determine which applications can be integrated into the ERP system versus requiring custom development.
What You'll Bring:
Professional Experience:
- Proven experience in app development with a focus on platform modernization and streamlining application ecosystems.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C , C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Ruby, TypeScript, and more.
- Familiarity with AWS, Git, Linux, Node/npm, Subversion, Unity, Unreal Engine, and various development tools.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong expertise in transitioning from legacy platforms (e.g., FileMaker) to modern systems.
- Deep understanding of user interface design, data integration, and analytics.
Analytical Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong balance between technical development and user support responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment, with a focus on custom application ecosystems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with custom-built applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

Schedule and Location Requirements:
- Weekend IT Support: This role includes being the face of IT during weekend daytime hours, ensuring operational continuity for MPG's manufacturing facilities. You will handle Level 1 IT tickets, basic troubleshooting, and escalate more complex issues during business hours.
- Onsite Role: This position requires being onsite at MPG's facilities for both app development and weekend IT support responsibilities.
