What You Will Do
- Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain the feeder end of multicolor offset press, consistently achieving near maximum press running speeds.
- Review and understand job specifications to accurately locate correct job stocks, ensuring the highest level of product accuracy.
- Possess a deep understanding of ink characteristics, including UV, conventional, PMS, and spot colors, to maintain optimal print quality.
- Assist with various pressman duties, such as press washups, blanket mounting, and plate mounting.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company safety manuals and procedures.
- Keep the printing press and work area clean, with a solid understanding of lubrication and press maintenance.
- Utilize press micrometers, refractometers, torque wrenches, and other essential tools efficiently.
What You Will Bring
- **Must have experience with Offset Press and/or experience with troubleshooting machinery.
- Strong comprehension skills and the ability to grasp complex press, material, and print characteristics with minimal training.
- Capability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
- Stamina to stand and perform the requirements of the position for up to 12 hours with periodic short breaks.
- Proficiency in using press micrometers, refractometers, torque wrenches, and other essential press tools.
- Willingness to adhere to all plant practices and procedures.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
Shift Requirements
- Night Shift (Required)
- This schedule is a 2-2-3-2 shift rotation, 6pm - 6am.
- Overnight Shift (6pm - 6am)
