What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Control Administrator position at Millennium Steel of Texas?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inputs receiving, processing, and shipping into Millennium’s ERP system for outside processors.
- Balances (reconciles) inventories from outside processor and internal inventory as well as investigates any discrepancies.
- To aid in physical inventory audits at the outside processors and internal inventories.
- Cross train other positions within the sales department.
- Schedule Deliveries from Outside Processors
- Communicate with internal department upcoming deliveries and open items needing resolution.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels.
- Assist in root causes analysis for inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
Required Education and Experience:
High School/GED and one-year related experience and/or training.
Preferred Education and Experience:
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use ten key calculators, perform data entry, and use various personal software (Microsoft Windows, Outlook).
Travel Required: (If applicable) 25%
Work Schedule: Non-Rotational (Monday-Friday)
