Systematic Technology Product Manager - Enterprise Market Data

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the product management of Enterprise Market Data working closely with the technology owner and technology leads to drive the delivery of day-to-day and strategic initiatives. This role is part of our continued effort to enhance and optimize Millennium's market data capabilities for our growing systematic businesses.

Responsibilities Include

• Consult with users to understand and document business requirements and workflows
• Engage with Business Management and development leads to facilitate prioritization of Portfolio Manager’s (PM) technology requests
• Expectation management and clear communication with the PMs, Business Management and the development teams
• Maintain traceability of functional specifications to requirements/objectives
• Project management of bespoke strategic platform build-outs that may benefit multiple PMs
• Work closely with Portfolio Managers and teams across the firm to facilitate the efficient onboarding and ongoing expansion of trading groups
• Reporting of progress and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalation of issues, as necessary.
• Close collaboration with the SPEED team providing both product and project management support across the Market Data organization
• Be initial point of project escalation and understanding when to escalate up as needed
• Align and track project resources and tasks
• Effectively partner with the Project Architect and Development team
  
  

Skills Include

• Requires 7 years of related professional project management experience
• Requires 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably with Equities/Futures/Options/FX and electronic trading
• Requires 3 years’ experience of real time market data solutions for a global organization including infrastructure and development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with proprietary solutions as well as direct feeds, Reuters, Bloomberg, Factset distribution infrastructures both on-prem and cloud
• Strong understanding of real-time (and ideally low-latency) system design and implementation
• Ability to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment with a good sense of urgency and ownership
• Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile as well as expertise with tools including JIRA and Confluence
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Nice-to-have: SQL/Python/Tableau Experience with Technical Project Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a tight time frame
• Experience of specifying and writing user specifications and business requirements for development teams
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of key data principals
