1st shift : 6 : 00AM - 2 : 30PM, with weekend potential

- Ensure candidate has some experience in bio / chem / pharma / biotech lab
Must wear long pants and closed toed shoes
Job Summary :
This position is responsible for the manufacture of materials used for medical diagnostic test devices. The candidate will be responsible for operation and maintenance of reel-to-reel web handling platforms, which are used to treat various membranes with antibody solutions. These membranes are later processed to create lateral flow devices. The candidate must possess basic computer and analytical skills. He / she must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team oriented, work environment.
Duties And Responsibilities :
Learn and understand : Basic reel-to-reel processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, etc.Execute processes according to written SOPs, record process data in batch record.Loading and unloading of treated and untreated membrane reels.Handling of antibody solutions.Machine setup and configuration.Monitoring ongoing production runs.Initial troubleshooting of production issues.Meet daily / weekly departmental production objectives efficiently and effectively.Ability to follow general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks.Support LDMS and daily shift start up meetings.Ability to lift 20-30 pounds unassisted.Follow all department guidelines and procedures.Follows BD Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisors of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate for position within production.Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements for this position include :
Associate degree and / or relevant technical trainingAbility to read, write and speak English fluentlyFundamental computer skillsPerform basic math calculations1 year relevant experience requiredStable employment and / or education within the last 3-5 years.Some laboratory and / or pharmaceutical / biotech manufacturing experience preferred.
