Position Summary
| Performs a wide variety of patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Physician, within the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Ace and regulatory standards for a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOD). Prioritizes and assists in patient triage processing, preparation, and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. Supervises other LVNs and care associates/medical assistants, monitoring daily performance to ensure documentation and quality standards are met while coordinating patient flow. Demonstrates competence and sensitivity in caring for multicultural patients and families, adapting care plans based on identified cultural needs. Works collaboratively with providers, residents, clinical staff and other disciplines in the health care team to deliver safe and efficient patient-centered care. Essential Job Outcomes/Functions

Qualifications/Work Experience
· Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred.
· Minimum 3 years leading and/or training junior staff preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred.
· Proficiency in electronic health record systems preferred.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification
· Graduate from a school or program of vocational nursing required.
· Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California required.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
