Shift: Days – 12 hour shifts
Pay Range: $34.50/hr - $39.65/hr
Sign On: $3,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary:
The Surgery Technician scrubs for surgical procedures in the Operating Room as assigned under the supervision of a RN. The Surgery Technician Per Diem provides safe cost-effective patient care throughout the preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods to the Operating Room patient according to established LBMC standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
List of broad job specific functions.
· Consistently applies infection control policies and procedures Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical information system and applies principles to patient documentation.
· Meets Population specific competencies.
· Attends department specific education, training, inservices, and staff meetings
· Provides preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
· Uses surgical equipment safely to prevent patient or personal injury Ability to be at work and be on time.
· Provides care in a safe and cost effective manner
· Performs other duties as assigned..
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications/Work Experience
· Experience as a surgical technician in the OR is preferably
Education / Licensure / Certification
· Graduation from surgical technician program or equivalent training.
· Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
