JOB DESCRIPTION :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Specialist (Helpdesk & Administrator) to join our team. The IT Specialist serves as a hybrid role, combining helpdesk support with systems administration responsibilities to ensure smooth IT operations for Miller Refrigeration and Miller Construction Services. This position balances troubleshooting user issues with maintaining and improving the company’s IT infrastructure.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage and maintain server environments, including hardware, software, and cloud-based systems.
- Configure and monitor network systems, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols and best practices, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Document IT processes, procedures, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including connectivity and configuration.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for procurement and technical support.
- Support IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and migrations.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across systems, including Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including hardware setup and access provisioning.
