Miller Contracting Group, Inc. is a family owned and operated General Contractor based in Ottoville, Ohio. We are in search of experienced Construction Superintendent position to add to our staff.
Job Description and Responsibilities would include the following:
Summary Description: Miller Contracting Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent for primarily general construction projects in the local area. In addition, site and utility construction and Bridge construction trades would also be involved. The selected individual will direct and manage project field operations under direction from the project manager. The general superintendent is responsible for direction of the work and management of all labor forces on the project including subcontractors. The individual must be organized, safety oriented, able to manage their time wisely and interface with employees and subcontractors effectively. People and time management skills are very critical attributes for this position.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Develop and coordinate overall company daily work schedule, construction methods and work performance on assigned projects.
- Assign the proper trade and quantity of personnel and equipment to the tasks at the proper time.
- Ensure employee compliance with safety and quality control programs
- Conduct on-site craft safety meetings
- Manage field execution in accordance with contract documents and MCG scope of work
- Assist with daily report preparation
- Supervise craft labor with attention to labor and jurisdiction agreements
- Ensure the job sites are tidy and field conditions allow for MCG to be effective
- Assist in providing adequate information for the review of field personnel’s evaluations
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in trade
