Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Duties
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage payroll processing to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow and manage customer payments.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliation to verify that bank statements align with company records.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero for efficient financial management.
- Ensure compliance with securities law and other regulatory requirements affecting the organization.
- Maintain double entry bookkeeping practices to uphold accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with securities law and compliance regulations is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly.
