Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the dietary department and ensuring the provision of high-quality meals and nutrition services to our residents. Your leadership and expertise in health coaching and dietary management will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and meal service
- Ensure compliance with all dietary regulations, including state and federal guidelines
- Implement care plans for residents with specific dietary needs or restrictions
- Provide health coaching and education to residents on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess residents' nutritional needs and develop appropriate dietary interventions
- Oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies
- Monitor food production to ensure quality, safety, and consistency
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with sanitation and safety standards
- Train and mentor dietary staff on proper food handling techniques, portion control, and customer service skills
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Extensive knowledge of health coaching principles and practices
- Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation techniques, and therapeutic diets
- Experience in supervising staff in a healthcare or assisted living setting
- Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
