What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent - **MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL position at Miller Diversified Inc.?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage all aspects of the construction as directed which may include, but is not limited to estimation, procurement, contract negotiation, contract management, monitoring budgets, meeting with owners, preparation of owner manuals, resolving project issues, daily job logs and reports.
2. Interdisciplinary coordination of subtrades, prime trades, suppliers, and other external team members for project delivery.
3. Coordinate various internal and external team members for project delivery.
4. Manage construction project to assure project is delivered timely and effective implementation of a Master Schedule and associated Look Ahead schedules.
5. Manage process to assure project is delivered in accordance with plans and specifications.
6. Implement and manage quality control programs to ensure project requirements are met or exceeded.
7. Manage construction project to assure customer satisfaction.
8. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
9. Capable of interpreting, understanding and explaining construction documents and implementing the details and requirements set forth within the same.
10. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
11. Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
12. Direct, coordinate and supervise tradespeople.
13. Perform constructability reviews of the drawings and contract documents and associated logistical coordination.
14. Select, contract and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project.
15. Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction project.
16. Investigate, document and address the implications of delays created by unforeseen conditions, poor weather, or emergencies.
17. Confer with administrative personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
18. Plan organize and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems.
19. Monitor job safety requirements and make sure that OSHA and other safety protocols are being followed.
20. Complete other special assignments as directed by management.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
