Job Duties
- Evaluating system topologies based on marketing requirements, creating technical specifications, designing power and mixed analog circuits, performing design reviews, reviewing test plans and results, supporting release plans, and performing product support duties after product release;
- Addressing manufacturing and production related issues;
- Conducting Product Design Compliance projects;
- Conducting Service and Warranty reduction projects;
- Performing alternate component research & qualification related to End of Life (EOL) or cost reduction/containment; and
- Development of automated test systems.
Applicant Must Also Have Demonstrated Experience In
- Switch mode power supply topologies, including: full bridge, half bridge, buck, boost, flyback and forward converters.
- Mixed analog and digital circuit designs including embedded microcontrollers, and experience in programming languages including C.
- Developing specifications for Automated Weld Testing Systems.
- Labview coding
- PCB design software (DxDesigner/OrCad/P-Spice)
- Diagnosing and correcting issues arising from Engineering, Lab and Reliability Testing
- Component level cost reductions using Value Engineering techniques.
- Working with third party vendors to coordinate design changes and resolve technical issues.
- Design decisions impacting weld arc performance.
- Component selection.
