Environmental Operations Manager

Job Summary

Miller Environmental Group is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of emergency spill response, industrial cleaning, and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental response, remediation, and restoration services, with experience in supervising crews and managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and prepare job estimates
• Communicate with project managers and operations coordinators to ensure project needs are met
• Prepare safety evaluations and conduct daily tailgate safety briefings
• Lead crews in a safe manner, following OSHA and company safety practices
• Monitor job sites for safety-related issues and manage equipment and materials
• Optimize production and profitability while maintaining a safe environment
• Manage documentation, including worksheets, daily job reports, and waste manifests
• Secure work sites at the end of each shift and ensure equipment is cleaned and returned in proper working order

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial cleaning, utility, or environmental construction, with 1 years of supervising crews
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment, including jack hammers, vacuum trucks, and gas monitors
• Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients
• Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily outdoors, with exposure to heat, cold, and moderate to loud noise levels. Workers may wear protective gear, including coveralls, gloves, and safety glasses. Some positions may require fully enclosed protective suits or respirators.
